Vision, Mission & Objectives

OUR VISION & MISSION STATEMENT

It is our vision to promote sustainable livelihoods for vulnerable people living in unplanned settlements within the city of Kisumu. We are committed to improving the welfare of vulnerable communities through transformation/capacity building for secure livelihoods.

OBJECTIVES

  • To promote education and support needy orphans and street families within the Kisumu Municipality.

  • To support people living with HIV/AIDs through provision with counseling services, material support, and undertaking outreach services within the slum areas.

  • To capacity build vulnerable persons living within the slum areas; to practice urban agriculture as an alternative livelihood.

  • To advocate for better water and sanitation within slum areas for improved health.

  • To establish a Drop-In Centre as a "safe haven" and educational/information centre for children living within the slum area of Nyalenda.

  • To seek partnership with Kisumu City Council, non-governmental organizations (NGOs), and Development Partners for greater impacts in the areas of mutual interests.
